How to read historical earnings moves

A way to organize what happened after past reports, without turning history into a recommendation.

Start with the event, then read the reaction.

Crushline presents historical earnings reactions as signed next-day moves alongside the current slate. Read the sign as the direction of the recorded reaction and the magnitude as its size, then compare the recent and longer-run summaries where they are available. This is a description of past events, not a forecast or a trading signal.

Keep the source boundary visible.

Historical samples are provisional pending verification against confirmed earnings announcement dates/times and sourced pre/post adjusted closes. Calculation consistency alone is not source verification. Event dates must never be inferred from price or volume spikes.

Historical samples use split-adjusted daily closes from Jan 2024 to Jul 2026. They are provisional pending verification of each reaction against a confirmed earnings announcement date/time and sourced pre- and post-event adjusted closes. Calculation consistency alone is not source verification; event dates must never be inferred from price or volume spikes.

What the page does not do

Historical presentation does not provide investment recommendations, live implied data, projections, alerts, or reminders. The licensed implied-move fields remain Pending while the required data source is unavailable.

Historical and market-implied data only. Not investment advice. Past moves do not predict future moves.
